Sheffield 14 and 15 June! I can't filter this post to reach just those of you in the area, and some of you I cannot message directly, but this is to let you know that there are a handful of tickets left for two beautiful concerts curated by my dear friend Matt Howden Sieben and this is really something very special. You are invited in to a private garden, on Friday night or Saturday lunchtime, or both, to be among friends old and new, and hear our concerts with pristine sound, and adjustable to your own tastes for volume - how perfect is this?! We will also be treated to the delights of hearing Isis Moray on Friday night and Mark Villholm on Saturday lunchtime 😊

If you'd like to come please MESSAGE ME and I'll give you the details and how to book. This is really really special, intimate and magical, and I'd love to you be with us!

Where is the teleporter for me? πŸ˜‰ Have a wonderful time… ❀️

Wow, this does look truly amazing! I am probably away but I hope you have a wonderful time in one of my favourite cities - the loveliest people plus the Peak District, unbeatable combination.

SHARED to the Sheffield Massive.

I'll see you there, flights have already been booked

Who painted this picture Jo? It’s beautiful 🀩

See you there xxx

Wow...it must be something to dream about. Every time you post something like this, I feel sad that I was cursed to be born in the hell of the East. What was a train ride to Sheffield?...if the stork leaves me in the UK😁. But I make peace with the thought that when I succeed like in Nijmegen or recently in London, everything becomes more great.πŸ™πŸ₯°

Just messaged you Jo Quail

632 bars of orchestration, across 144 staves, 32 minutes and 56 seconds of music (back to back) and I don't know how many hours of work but I've loved every second. I'm almost done - a few tweaks to make but Dunk!festival there is a very special performance coming your way ... Lots more to share with you over the coming weeks including a spotlight on my guests and colleagues Lef, Lucie, and Tom, Jos, my orchestra the wonderful Wilmink Project Orchestra, and the incredible DaniΓ«l van Nes who has created a visual film response to Supplication that will premiere in the theatre at Dunk! Festival. Wow. It's an honour to work with each of these artists, thank you all so much!

Spring was in our forest yesterday, here in our corner of South East London. New life forces abound, what a beautiful and affirming afternoon it was 🌿🌱🌼

Wishing you all a joyous and creative week!

So glad to hear you have completed this challenging effort! Hopefully you now have a little time to get some rest prior to starting the next effort! πŸ₯°πŸŽΌπŸ₯°

fantastic Jo... a hug from Verona ❀

Have you ever been to Beckenham Place Park? It's a wonderful place currently filled with signs of spring. I spend most of my time there with the camera while off sick from work. Would love to show you around if you ever have the time for a couple of hours' stroll. This is a picture of a pair of kestrels from the park.... PM me if interested...

Over 600 bars? That's what I call proper bender.

Wonderful words and the magical music will be incredible when performed full on with your orchestra. 🎢❀️

What a week. This time last week I was in Copenhagen with the ever wonderful Myrkur - her new record Spine is outstanding and it was great to hear some tracks from this. Such a warm and welcoming crowd for me too, always a joy to play at VEGA and I hope very much to return to you all soon!

I made a brief but dramatic appearance at Islington Assembly Halls as the guest of the mighty Enslaved, to perform Congelia with them, and I LOVED THIS GIG!!! I would love to to a whole set with them actually one day, sssshhh let's keep that a secret. I'm usually a soloist as you know, so it's a true joy to be able to make music with such a powerful army of performers, a true dream! Hope you're enjoying your deluxe version of Heimdal!

To round the week off I was in Manchester for the final co-headline concert with Jon Gomm this time at the Deaf Institute. This is a STUNNING venue, wow!! Really beautiful, and I'd love to be back here. I always love playing in Manchester and you always give me such a warm welcome, thank you with my whole heart. A pleasure to chat to you afterwards too and I'm especially happy to hear about some of you who are taking to your violins and cellos again after many years, and finding your loves once again. This is SO inspiring.

Thank you to you all for your ongoing support and friendship, love to all, and see some of you in Oslo at the end of the month for Inferno Festival!

Love jo x

I've loved discovering your music after seeing you with Jon at The Old Woollen. We just had to get tickets for Manchester last Thursday too. Thanks for inspiring me to rediscover my violin again and for your very kind words and the hug after the gig too. So when are your next gigs?

You got any London dates coming up in the Spring, Jo?

Oh wow ..you are officially THE busiest person on the planet !! Xxx

Thank you so much for a most wonderful concert in Manchester! Well done after your hugely hectic week πŸ‘πŸŽ»♥️

Great & good luck all
